OEMC Newsletter S/S 2010

Postby Tracey Atkinson on Fri Feb 26, 2010 6:50 pm

Hello, if you have any pictures or articles that you would like to send in, especially if it is of your dogs in the recent snow, then please send them to me at my email address (which is in the magazine).
Message for Janine - Lyn tells me you have been trying to e-mail me but I haven't received anything - are you using the e-mail address that is in the newsletter only I don't have yours either (If it's any help you were going to send me an article on an old breeder who was very controversial - I think you did an article on him for your own club).
Look forward to hearing from you.
Tracey

Well done great edition new lay out really makes use of space, good varied content.
Lyn
Hopefully more people will health test, there is a bit of video on utube showing stones being removed, rather gory, but might encourage people to test so their dogs do not have to go through such operations for cystinuria.
Edited by LS I would like to see people generally health test.

HI Lyn
There is currently no conclusive test for Mastiffs and the article was factually incorrect and misleading as this in fact proves!

At least she tried and if she is incorrect its got a couple of people talking, perhaps some will look at other health problems and stop sweeping everything under the carpet.

Therre are plenty of us trying Lyn believe me! The more people that are open about health problems the better...the time is right for change...- just think its important that information is based on facts, particularly with something that is becoming as widespraed as Cystinuria...

Hi i have to say that the more imformation the better, i have been asked to use my boy at stud, the bitch as been hip elbow and eye tested, and if iam to use my boy(please note i said if)he will be tested, and yes people will say there are no gaurantees with any test, but in my opinion(plese note i said my opinion)i feel we all should all do the best for our breed, too many people just use the dog on any bitch and people say i have a bitch so i will have a litter and see what happens and we all wonder why we end up in the state we are now
